NYC Mayor Says Obama Has Broken Campaign Promises, Needs Better Advisers
NEW YORK - New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is occasionally mentioned as a long-shot presidential candidate, accused President Barack Obama in a magazine interview of breaking campaign promises and said he needs better advisers.

The billionaire mayor, a Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent, flirted with the idea of running in 2008 but eventually abandoned the idea.

He has mostly shied away from criticizing Obama, but that changed in an interview that appears in the December issue of GQ magazine. The magazine chose Bloomberg as one of its "men of the year" for 2010, among company like actor Jeff Bridges, television personality Stephen Colbert and rapper Drake.

"The president, I think, needs some better advisers," Bloomberg told GQ. "He campaigns, 'I'm gonna do A,' and then he doesn't do it. Now he's pissed off the supporters and the opponents."

The White House declined to comment Thursday.

2. Huh?
He needs more people from business in his inner circle of advisers? Having the much despised (by progressives) Summers and Geithner in his cabinet wasn't enough for Lord Bloomberg? Was having more businessment in his inner circle even a campaign promise because if it was, I sure as hell missed THAT one.
:wtf:

3. Fuck you Bloomberg, you arrogant elitist piece of shit.
An asshole who lights his Cuban cigars with hundred dollar bills, who buys himself another term over the repeated objections of the public, and who probably hasn't gotten his fingernails dirty doing anything more strenuous than lifting a wineglass in twenty years doesn't get to talk about the frustration of normal people with the pace of change.

6. He's a Republican, you know.
Why would you tout a Republican here? Or is it just another slam at Democratic voters, the constant theme of your posts? What is it you hope to achieve by your endless sneering at other Democrats for not being up to your standards, whatever those might be, whoever you might be, where ever you might live? Do you think you will change minds with these posts? Or are you just trying for more and larger divisions?
But you should refrain from promoting Republicans here, that is too much.

7. DU is now being taken over by Republican quotes
I wonder what Gingrich had to say about Obama today? I'm sure it'll be posted here soon.

8. In defense of Obama just on this one issue, should the president make good on ALL his promises
in less than 2 years during his term?
