From CSPAN's video archive - 9/15/10 - "Presidential Remarks on the Economy."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time and time again, folks have wondered why the President didn't "use the bully pulpit more." Rep. Wasserman Shultz (whom I adore) was just on Hardball saying the President should have addressed the nation. Well, he did. And then he went on to the campaign trail and repeated himself time and time again.
Now, complicating all of this, a day after he made this statement, 31 dems presented him with a letter saying they refused to support him...
... so his OWN PARTY was fighting him as soon as he left said bully pulpit. He wanted a vote on the tax cuts BEFORE THE ELECTION and the House couldn't deliver.
And Rep Wasserman Shultz (and others) have said they wanted a PRIME TIME address to the nation. Given how the BP and press briefings have gone, I'm not sure that we can say that prime time events are his strong suit.
So ... where did he drop the ball? .... please understand, this is not an attempt to flame bait or invite an argument. I just see folks asking why he didn't use his bully pulpit .... and he did. So what happened?
1. K&R for putting the truth up there.
You have to wonder when Democrats like Wasserman Shultz are missing the things the President has done. The election is over, their waiting didn't make any difference. Now they stand there like deer in the headlights and feign ignorance on what the President said and did.
This has been the way it is all along, blame the President and the actual voting congress takes no responsibility.
2. Well, to be fair...
.... I had to remind myself of it! lol
I will NOT concede that he's made the wrong decision.
I will NOT concede that he didn't fight for the tax cut.
I will readily admit they've got messaging problems.
