So Come 2 Years from Now When the Newly Extended Tax Cuts are Set to Expire... |
|
...AND the national debt is trillions of dollars higher...
If unemployment is still hovering around 10%, what's the "solution" going to be then?
Is this a battle this President really wants to fight in 2012?

1. YES, it's a fight Obama wants in '12. He's AGAINST the extension for the wealthy, |
|
and SAID so. He'll be able to prove he was RIGHT.

We have the data from the past eight years that shows tax cuts for rich people creates zero jobs.

Obama just bet the farm that the economy will recover by 2012... he won't be able to "blame" anyone in 2012 if it doesn't happen.

Why not? If it doesn't improve the tax cuts will be the least of his worries.

8. No he didn't. He did what he HAD to do to help the poor and middle class. He also |
|
said he's against any extension of the tax cuts for the rich, and he doesn't think it'll help the economy, but the Repubs. are demanding it. So if the economy doesn't recover by '12, he'll have proven the Repubs. wrong.

There will no longer be an economic justification for a middle-class tax cut. The President seemed to have used this to secure unemployment benefits for a longer period and several other initiatives.

5. Obama just set himself for a lose-lose situation |
|
If the economy gets better, the tax cuts for the rich worked, and then they will be voted permanent. If the economy stays the same, even with the tax cuts -- the arguement will be made that we have a poor leader who can't get the job done.
Obama loses either way.
Meanwhile... Obama just helped starve the beast. When we start firing more policeman, fireman, and teachers -- because not enough tax revenue -- remember who was President at the time.

No, there will be no reason to deal. None.
