I need to calm down and relax, I think |
I am an unapologetic supporter of the president, and I understand the absolute need for immediate relief to those that most need certainty right now (The unemployed, to those about to get snarky). But, this, the deal, still doesn't feel right to me.
I'm hoping after time to process, think, relax and see what this actually translates into I will be a little more rationale. That said, right now, it is all I can do to prevent myself from throwing my desk chair out the 8th floor window...

3. Just keep in mind that... |
Obama got unemployment insurance for another 13 months, extending the earned income tax credit to benefit families, college tax credits, and a pay-roll tax cut. And according to what I have been reading today the deal with save/create a little over 2 million jobs in 2011. I also put the blame totally on the repubs. I think that is why Obama is mad with the left....the left seems to be blaming Obama for all of this but not the hostage holders.

6. Yeah, that's where I'm hoping the rationale part comes back |
It drives me nuts that not only are the Republicans skirting any blame for holding the unemployed hostage, it is Obama who has to go out in public and actually defend the deal. I really don't see the Republican negotiators sticking their necks out.

5. The President is dealing from where he needs to deal. |
Congress has a role here, and they need to exercise it fully to come to agreement on moving forward. As the President said, it doesn't get any easier after the end of the year.
