Pew Poll on Democrats' view on President standing up for party positions
Pew

<...>

Obama’s job approval ratings among Democrats remain strong (77% approve), and there is little evidence that Democrats think he is going along too much with GOP leaders in Congress. Only about quarter of Democrats (23%) say he is going along too much, while about twice as many (48%) say he is going along the right amount.

16. Did you read the poll? 45 % think he does not stand up enough for party positions,
and this is before the deal. That is pretty dismal.

4. This is good but....
.... I'm holding my breath on polling until I (as usual) see more and a week has gone by .... and then six months have gone by.

6. These numbers might change as more and more opinion leaders speak out against
his capitulation to the GOP. Just you watch.

10. And as they realize it was a pretty good deal for the nation, opinion will back the reality.
But, haters gonna hate.

17. Good deal for the nation or for the rich?
Because the 99ers and those making less than $20,000 a year are getting screwed.

8. Most people are ignorant
That's the only explanation for so few saying that Obama capitulates.

The greatest problem this country faces is apathetic voters. Few people have any idea of what is actually going on. They're too busy watching Bristol Palin dancing on TV.

11. No, the problem is that there aren't as many liberals as the purist think there are.

13. Ding, Ding, Ding
You are correct. If you lose just 5% of your base in an election cycle where independents are heading the other way you get what just happened in the mid-terms. 2012 will be very ugly for Democrats if Obama continues this madness.

18. Well sure, because ..
anyone who disagrees with you must simply be too "ignorant" to know better. Oh, get over it. Your view is a minority one in this country. that does NOT mean everyone else is "ignorant".
