It's the Lincoln-Kyl Estate Tax Amendment
http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=2759

Rachel and KO were making a big deal about Blanche Lincoln's estate tax amendment being part of the tax cut resolution. John Kyl is the name they should have focused on.

The Times wrote yesterday that the estate tax giveaway was a sop for Kyl, offered in return for the START treaty ratification. As such, the Republicans were probably holding national security hostage to tax cuts for the rich, not mention unemployment insurance and tax breaks for poor and working families.

At any rate, posted elsewhere tonight, this portion of the deal, Lincoln-Kyl, is what House Democrats have zeroed in on. Smaller potatoes than the Bush tax cuts, but one can easily see how important it is to both sides, the Republicans and the White House. If it takes a hit, so does START, not to mention the overall deal.
