Yahoo Sports: Baseball Player's controversial Obama comments
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Answer-Man-Luke-Scott-talks-Nugent-hunting-and?urn=mlb-292970

Baltimore Orioles slugger Luke Scott(notes) stopped by baseball's winter meetings Tuesday and, after some harmless chatter about his team's offseason dealings, stated with conviction that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

Oh, yes, he did. Scott's opinion about the president's birthplace — while certainly not unique — was a stunning climax to a friendly and frank 20-minute Answer Man session that spanned his enthusiasm for baseball, hunting, firearms, personal responsibility and smaller government.

"(Obama) was not born here," Scott asserted to Answer Man in the session's last segment. "That's my belief. I was born here. If someone accuses me of not being born here, I can go — within 10 minutes — to my filing cabinet and I can pick up my real birth certificate and I can go, 'See? Look! Here it is. Here it is.' The man has dodged everything. He dodges questions, he doesn't answer anything."

MR. SCOTT HE HAS ALREADY PRODUCED HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE MANY FUCKING TIMES....EVEN IN 10 MINUTES....WTF ELSE DO YOU WANT OR DO YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH HIS SKIN COLOR?

3. I believe he was the guy who was put off cause he couldn't
bring fire arms to the locker room after the Arias fiasco last year or so.

I believe he is slightly to the right of most teabaggers, as are probably most multi-millionaire athletes.

4. Um ... Luke...?

...unless you actually live in Orlando, or thereabouts, that whole "go to my filing cabinet" argument you just made could be debunked in seconds...

...and your overall argument was debunked years ago. The certificate was posted online, so what the hell is your problem?

You, yourself, admitted that you don't carry around a copy of your birth certificate, so why should the President?

Try this exercise, Luke: go get yourself a U.S. geography book and look up the state of Hawaii. Pay close attention to the "date joined the union" entry. Does it say "August 21, 1959?" Very good!

Now pick up any up-to-date book on U.S. Presidents and look up "Barack Obama." What does it say under "date of birth?" Does it say "August 4, 1961?" Really?! So you mean to tell us that Hawaii was a state by the time Obama was born? The hell you say! That would mean that Obama is a U.S.-born citizen, would it not?

So why are you making this long-since-debunked birther argument in public again? Because you're an idiot? No argument here..

11. I understand that Obama was born in '61 and Hawaii became a state in '59. But even still, would it
really matter? Wouldn't someone born in Hawaii before it became a state still be considered a natural born citizen? Isn't someone born in Puerto Rico today eligible to run for president?

14. You're Right: It Wouldn't Matter...
...that's exactly why these same birther knuckleheads give John McCain a pass when he was born at then-U.S.-occupied Panama Canal.

You only need to be born in the U.S. or in one of its territories to at least one U.S. citizen. That's it.

The birthers don't get it--or won't.

5. Slugger??
He's hit a total of 100 HR's in 6 years. That's like 17 a year. And he makes entirely too much money. Because anyone that stupid shouldn't be making any money at all.

10. Same place which Dexter Manley graduated without knowing how to read.
They apparently grade on a curve for athletes at OSU.

12. Is this guy fucking Orly Taitz?
Honestly, that's the only reason someone like Scott would utter anything so ludicrous.
