serious question: What will Obama run on in 2012?
Considering that millions of Americans are less inclined to offer support to the promises of hope and change, and considering the changes in the country's economics and mood, what could be a campaign that would draw supporters?

Strategists? Got ideas?

1. He'll do Democratic hostage tactics....
.."Vote for us or the republicans will be in charge. BOO!"

That's pretty much the entire gambit.

Sadly, it will work.

25. Nominated Judd Gregg as Secretary of Commerce...
oops, sorry about that one.

Was recently cited by the Mayor of NY as being the kind of "education president" that would approve of appointing a magazine executive to run NYC's public schools. That's good right?

Opened to oil exploration and drilling ocean areas that Dems had fought exploitation of for decades, then looked silly when BP shit all over the Gulf of Mexico, then declared a moratorium and subsequently banned drilling for seven years, and looked really silly while doing all of it. Ken Salazar's appointment helped, right?

Chose to look forward, and not backyards, on the crimes of the Bush years, and has consistently let it be known that torturers who act in good faith are Ok with him. Appointing Leon Panetta as DCIA was good, right?

Lots of good stuff.

5. I'm not a strategist, just a tired old Democrat,
He can't run on change, hope or a lot of his points from 2008, this time he has a record that he is going to have to explain and defend. In 2008 he was more a less a clean slate, no negative issues. It's no longer a case of: Had I been in office, I would have______. Fill in the blank.

19. serious answer: a lot of important things
Edited on Fri Dec-10-10 01:12 PM by truthspeak
1) serious grownup discussion on tackling the debt with suggestions from the commission

2) some type of tax reform

3) possibly enhancing the current health care law

MOST IMPORTANTLY: a vision of growth and investment in various areas to compete globally. We saw a preview of this past week when he was in NC.

Looks like a good platform to me...
