The U.S. and the Denver Broncos continue to follow the same trend. |

When *W was running for prez, he was invited to the Broncos training camp. I was pissed and burned everything I owned related to the Broncos--especially since we were paying for their new stadium. In the next few years, the Denver Broncos were terrible. In the same way, America faced loss after loss until the Bush depression. Then, the Broncos fired their coach (Mike Shennanigan)--just as America fired the Republicans.
We hired a new coach (Josh McDaniels) with new ideas. Just as America hired Obama. That coach did great at the very beginning--6 straight wins! Then there were losses. Then embarrasement, as his employee was caught taping another team's practice. Finally, that new coach was fired last week. Looking back, I see that the new coach's ideas were flawed. He tried to come in with a new philosophy on how to treat the players. But he himself didn't actually treat one particular player right. He tried to trade our quarterback (Jay Cutler). We all thought Cutler was being a cry baby for demanding a trade. Then McDaniels traded a good running back to Cleveland where he has had a great season (Peyton Hillis). He also traded our star receiver to Miami. Boy were we wrong. This coach's philosophy was wrong for our team. That point became clear when the team lost badly to our rivals, the Oakland Raiders.
Now, after two years of Obama's bipartisanship, we see that his ideas were deeply flawed. Many of us knew that bipartisanship with the crazy and angry Republicans probably wouldn't work. Yet we did want to see things turn around for America's families. I know that it's better to vote for Obama than any Republican. But now we all know how deeply flawed Obama's approach has been. What we are experiencing didn't happen over night. It was the wrong approach all along. Lets hope that Obama will start working for America's families and our future. This tax deal is bad for our long term future. It will harm us in the long run.

I have tried to avoid thinking politics when it comes to the Broncos. But, interesting analogy.
