Frankly, he wasn't being a gentleman when his version was it was not true and she kind of stalked him. (never believable, because if true and he disliked it, she would have been assigned elsewhere by the end of the day.)

Is a bit different than a man doing the same thing... The old double standard.
Also, it was some of Clinton's supporters who raised the "stalker" defense
And I was being tongue in cheek.
It was poor judgement and a moral lapse. But we as humans have frailties...

already PUBLICLY saying that she had an inappropriate relationship with Bill.
I agree with your last sentence, but I refuse to give Clinton any more credit than due on this whole sad episode.
But, I think we Democrats got what we deserved there - we knew early in the primaries that he was both a womanizer and pretty free with playing with the facts - and we elected him.

64. Oh please, Lewinsky had 2 affairs with married men before Clinton |
|
She was no innocent babe in the woods, she had affairs with 2 married men before her romp with Clinton. And her mother was no better, writing a book of the sex lives of the 3 tenors and her affair with Placido Domingo. These two, are women who go after famous men.. I wonder how the women on this board would regard Lewinsky, if it was their husband she was fooling around with. I'll bet they wouldn't be calling her "innocent" or "helpless" then. Power is an aphrodisiac, many other presidents and men in prestigious positions have affairs. Grow up.
What always makes me laugh, are the same people who so offended by Clinton, forget all about what Ted Kennedy did. And that was far worse. People can be so puritanical and hypocritical at times.

How many affairs did BClinton have beforehand? That and yours are moot points.
As POTUS and most powerful man on the planet, diddling a young female employee in the White House no less is the disgusting act of a morally bankrupt man.
Your "she was asking for it" argument (just a slippery slope from "Raped? Suck it up!"), extending that pathetically shameful argument to her mother for crissakes, and throwing in Ted Kennedy as lame subterfuge do not in the slightest mitigate the debacle committed by BClinton that nearly brought the country to its knees in the late 1990s.

And leadership begins with fighting from that pulpit. It's not all there is to leadership...but fighting and drawing lines in the sand from that podium sends a message. This president seems incapable of doing anything but compromising from the WH podium.

Because a lot of the crap they trash Obama for (being republican lite, not being liberal enough etc)....Clinton was pretty much the same. We're still suffering from some of Clinton's polices, yet some still want him back in office and want Obama out. Even after he comes out in defense of Obama's policy lol.
