We couldn't even get a lame duck Feingold to dump "tax cuts for the rich".

2. Feingold has voted against the Democratic initiatives on several
crucial occasions. (No, I'm not on meds. I just read the news.)

4. And yet Feingold is one of the ones the anti-compromise crowd has proposed to primary Obama...
Now you are throwing him under the bus as well. Geesh.

5. I'm not throwing him under the bus. I simply been following his
actions in the Senate and disagree with him on a number of votes. In fact, I used to be very high on him. He started losing me when I saw that every time Israel bombed Hell out of Lebanon, he immediately backed the Senate resolutions for their cruel and unwarranted actions.

(I'm not a anti-Semite. But, I think that the State of Israel has been hi-jacked by thugs. )

9. You need to look at the reasons behind his votes.
Often he has voted against legislation as a protest that it doesn't go far enough. This is almost always on things that are going to pass anyway. Case in point--the bank "regulation" bill, which he saw as a weak and ineffectual pretense at regulation.

11. I am familiar with his stated reasons and you are correct in that.
However, I haven't felt that his reasons were counter productive even if his stated reasons were sincere, which I had begun to doubt.

There's not much use in our going on about Feingold. I think he is out of politics and therefore almost irrelevant.

6. I believe he wanted all the tax cuts to expire

because they were unfunded and he saw them as a GOP trap.

It's like when he voted against the bank regulatory reform bill because he didn't think it went far enough, that it was just a sham. Which it obviously is.

I was trying to google this and could not find anything. Too much to wade through.

Hmm. Can't say I disagree with his position.

14. And the middle class sent him packing because they are unwilling ...
to give up their tax break to ensure that the rich lose theirs.

Obama and all the Dems should make this same principled stand. That way, DU could again unite against President Palin or President Romney.
