Forget Obama and his deals for a day or two, this is huge IMO. The Vice President of The United States needs a company to pay 500mil to keep him off trial. Why? What does he have to hide?

2. If you mean the Nigeria thing, yes, there was a little bleep about it last week
on some of the networks, but it didn't take off because the media would rather have us thinking that Bush's tax cuts are more important than anything.

5. Sadly, the tax-cut debate is the most important thing going on on DC. And I say sadly because .....
this should really be what we are talking about. But we are talking about the future of our economy, which in tied to the survival of our nation. Cheney's ills are "only" tied to our moral high-ground, but we lost that battle long ago.

3. It's Halliburton and Cheney,
I don't expect much coverage at all. 500mil to keep him from a trial says it all. If you are wealthy and powerful you can buy justice.

7. Maybe we can make some noise about it....?
Edited on Sun Dec-12-10 05:16 PM by FrenchieCat
like we do when we feel like it?

No, better to cut Obama off at the knees
so that we can hit him over the head.

13. Cause it appears that we only get loud
about certain things and not others.....
and that this selectiveness is killing us.

15. That might be what you see and hear on your end,
you don't know that. Appearances can be deceiving. SOME of us contact our Representatives about things on a regular basis.
I will agree 100% on you on this
"and that this selectiveness is killing us." That sentence actually makes sense.

4. They should save 500 mil and let him go to trial.
He'd be at room temperature in 10 minutes.

6. I have a better use for that money. Let's let Cheney go to jail and use the money to finance ......
Social Security or health-care for the pure.

8. Let him go to jail, and we could raffle a get out of jail free card for him

It might pay for tution for a lot of college students...

The downside of that plan is that he may not have as many friends as he thinks, once that door closes.

21. I was just reading the latest Wikileaks 'leaks' about Nigeria
Halliburton is not the only Corp. involved in corruption over there. It looks like Shell 'had agents' in every part of government. Haven't finished reading it yet and I don't know if this will be news to the Nigerian Government, or if they are already charging other Corps.

But, you are absolutely right. This SHOULD be huge news here, but I have not seen even a mention of it. The charges against Cheney are serious. And should be seen as serious.
