Dems will make speeches and fuss....but in the end it will pass by a few votes....then the dems that made the speeches will send me an Emain asking for money to continue fighting for me. You would think we would catch on but we don't.

5. I think a lot of us have caught on now - even if elected Dems... |
|
...fall in line, I don't think rank and file liberals will.

7. BUT should they? Is the question |
|
The problem in the USA is that a tiny minority representing the ultra rich, which btw is synonymous with financier and Wall Street, have political and huge wealth as their tail wind. They have overwhelming representation in our government, judicial and the media. BEFORE Obama appoints someone as a czar or judge his first act is to bow down to Wall Street and request approval.
Average American serfs have nothing to offer except a vote once every year.

be accused of selling out the middle class. Some Democrats will vote against the bill and be accused of selling out the middle class.
If there was a Democratic strategy here on behalf of Congressional Democrats, I'm not seeing it.
They spent more than a week attacking the President for making a deal, but failed to come up with an alternative.
If they were going to let the deal go through, at least they could have got some good shots in at Republicans, who got a complete pass.

10. They will pass it after speeches saying why they do not want to. I |
|
would assume that they will do this because they have only 15 more days to get anything done in this lame duck session and then they have to deal with a repug loaded house. That is what they will do if they want to get to DADT and the Dream Act and other such bills. The other alternative is that repugs will just continue to block everything so that nothing gets done. I hate this but I think they are cornered.
