All the people, including HRC, who supported Lieberman
ought to be asking for forgiveness. To think, Lieberman was almost VP. I shudder at the thought.

LIEberman was Gore's running mate. What would you have preferred? Or did you get your wish when Bush v. Gore landed?

the OP said "all the people, including HRC"

but, since you bring it up, I directly blame EVERYONE IN THE DLC for Lieberman.

13. I read for comprehension.
One thing you get from reading a lot is a sense that words mean something and are offered to communicate something.

The OP wanted to take a shot at HRC and dressed it up to obscure the hilariousness of his/her ongoing obsession.

If someone posted an OP with the headline "Everyone, including Lerkfish, who is a fool needs to STFU" you would read it, quite correctly, as a call-out of Lerkfish dressed up in some cutesy language, not a general sentiment decrying foolishness.

19. I voted for Hillary in our 08 primary, but I worked on Lamont's campaign in 06 and was
disappointed in her support for Lieberman during the CT Senate Dem primary. You can be in both situations, IMO, w/o being compromised...

11. I don't know very much about CT so I apologize if my perception us wrong
But it doesn't seem to me like a place that has suffered very much from the current economic situation.

When I think of CT I visualize one giant suburb filled primarily with wealthy and upper middle class people who work as paper pushers in the finance and insurance "industries" and have actually benefitted from the miseries of other Americans.

Joe would not be acting like such a little prick if he represented a state like Michigan where real working people have been bit in the ass by the financial situation orchestrated to some degree by CT residents. Those people would kick his scrawny ass if he pulled this kind of shit.

29. What most people who are not familiar with CT
Edited on Mon Dec-14-09 08:06 PM by calico1
visualize is what you do..but that visualization is true of mainly Fairfield County...Darien, Greenwich, Westport.

There are a lot of areas of CT that are far from rich but because that particular area has so much wealth it makes our state look rich overall. It isn't. Come to eastern CT and see lots of blue collar people.

The rumor in CT about Joe is that he is acting like such a prick because he has no plans to run for reelection. He supposedly has a job all lined up with an insurance company or as a lobbiest. I think that must be true because he truly does not even give a semblance anymore of giving a shit about CT. He doesn't even make an effort any more.

that voted Lieberman back into office in the general election. Blame them, and the 30 or so percent of Democrats. I voted for Lamont.

28. No....Excuse me but the DEMOCRATS in CT
picked Ned Lamont. Lieberman was able to still run because the law here does not keep him from still running if he loses the primary. That is not the fault of the Democrats.

Lieberman won because of that loophole and because most REPUBLICANS voted for him since the Republican candidate sucked and the Republican party put their support behind Lieberman and abandoned their official candidate.

Oh and just a reminder for all of you who like to trash CT....Barbara Boxer came to CT and campaigned for Lieberman. Yes, she did. AFTER he lost the Democratic primary...

Maxine Waters, bless her, also came to CT and campaigned for Lamont.

9. I shook his hand in 2004.
But I've washed it since then, many times! Too bad I didn't have one of those handhake-buzzer thingies.

And I had my Clark '04 button on my coat, so I think I gave him a little agita. Tee hee.

I remember the Lieberman campaign people in Manchester, NH, in January '04 were a fairly nasty lot.

15. I was very saddened by Al Gore's appearance on Jon Stewart where he seemed to
defend Joe and calls him "his friend" even now. Though Gore admitted that he disagrees with Joe, he still calls him a close friend. I lost my dinner and I was reminded why I supported Nader and Lamont.

16. Screw asking forgiveness -- they should atone by taking what action they can against him.
And for Dems in the Senate, that means using reconciliation; and stripping LIEberman of all committee memberships.
