Finally, A VOICE FOR TRUTH: "This is a GLOBALIZATION
CRISIS--and Conservatives are treating it as if
it is a usual Business Cycle Recession.....We
will end up just as in the 30s".

Ex-Prime Minister, UK Browne is appearing on
various talk show here in US. Last night on
CRose, today Morning Joe. He explains that
we are in for 10 years, ten years of slow grouth
meaning high unemployment if we follow the
Conservative Austerity Programs. He explains
we are in a major shift across the world.
China, India and Asia will be the largest
economies with the most activity. We must
while reducing deficits, look and plan for
the future. Simultaneously invest in education
and preparing our workers to make high end and
luxury products (we have the envied brands)
to be sold to the rising middle classes in China
and Korea and India. This means making Investments
while cutting the deficits.

Globalization Crisis requires Global cooperation
and Management. Up until now we have failed in
Managing Globilization. America can still lead
and the world wants us to lead. Start with having
a Globalization Group represented by all major
countries and start managing Globalization. We
must press China to accelerate development of
their middle class. They must become consumers.

He is pushing his new book"After the Crash".

Finally, someone is giving an honest explanation
of what is going on. Globalization Crisis.
Cut Cut Cut the Deficit alone will only push
us backward and keep uemployment around the
world high.

Check Bloomberg Chanel at 8:00 and 10:00 for
Charlie Rose in case he repeats his hour
interview.

1. I agree but I also think it was caused by globalization. Shifting jobs
to countries that have cheap labor is not growth. Breaking the middle class who purchase the products is also not growth. Both actions stifle growth.

2. I did not make it clear---I guess-- Brown said the mismanagement
of Globalization has contributed to Unemployment and until
we get a handle on Globalization, unemployment will remain
high for at least a decade.

Deficits are important but just doing deficit reduction
is a repeat of Hoover in 1930s. We must be managing
Globalization, for example, insisting China more quickly
move more people into Middle class so they become consumers.

Even though Germany is doing well right now, their
trading is primarily in Europe. As more European
countries have problems-- they cannot continue to
buy German goods.

3. China, India and Asia
All have vast supplies of cheap labour. Our middle class is dissappearing because multinationals are profiting from that vast supply. But, the issue is when will the chinese have a middle class.....and this still does not address America's vanishing middle.

It is stupid to think for one moment that focussing on expensive brands manufactured here will somehow make up what was swept away under our feet. If there is a profit to be made - those "brands" will find themselves being made where the labour is cheapest. That is the simple truth.

I agree there is a crisis of globalization. I also agree that tax cuts will in no way positively affect the crisis America finds itself in. Any increased demand will just make the factories in China work longer.....that is all. And any jobs offered will be temporary, part time sales or service sector jobs. You just don't make anything anymore......switched to a financially based GDP economy. Wall Street is king. That is the way they want it. That is the way they have it. And given that government has proven eager, able and willing to bail them out, even if they rob, steal, lie, commit fraud, etc, etc....government has come to the conclusion that this is how it should be.

4. Germany so far has done well with the high end brands. That
is their focus. They have a solid mfg base in their country.

Brown's point is the world is shifting. China India Asia will be
the consumer make the way we are now.
