Does The DLC Still Exist Or Did It Die When Joe Lieberman Became An Independent

I know it exists in the physical sense but you never hear about them anymore. I suspect some folks would say the Democratic party is doing their bidding without even knowing it.

7. The DLC has adopted the term "New Dems" to give them a new public image.
They're still the same old neoconservative faces working hard to eradicate the last vestige of peoples advocacy from the Democratic Party ...and doing one hell of a job of it too.

3. no, Obama is to the right of the DLC
the DLC was against the Bush tax cuts. Obama thinks the DLC is a bunch of purists.

8. If you want to learn, go back in time and read the exchanges
between Senator Obama and the magazine 'Black Commentator'. The magazine challenged him on his DLCness, and that is when the term got less up front, changed to 'new Democrats' and all. The magazine gave Obama questions to answer to determine if he was DLC in 'sheep's clothing' and while he passed, he has since reversed most of those positions. Google it up, read and see what you think.
If it walks like a duck, they say, it is probably a duck.
