Funding for the Pentagon.

Funding for the CIA.

Funding for private military contractors.

Funding for defense contractors.

Corporate Welfare.

Obama likes to put a lot of things on the table, but it's only the stuff he is willing to trade away.

2. I still can't believe a President who calls himself a Democrat traded
away Social Security, and while doing so traded away the Democratic brand. :grr:

6. It's a far cry from the man who said in his presidential announcement speech .........
it is “possible to compromise so long as you know those principles that can never be compromised".

The only thing he's been compromising is the party principals.

3. its because Obama views his leftist views to be the only "reasonable" leftist views
Edited on Tue Dec-14-10 06:19 PM by jsamuel
therefore, anyone that has an opinion to the left of him is automatically dismissed (because he views himself as "on their side"), even though those on the far right are still listened to.

Compromise is between what he thinks (center/right to center/left depending on the issue) and what the far right wants.

8. Because he's not a radical....but he ain't conservative either.
But folks know that.....

We didn't elect Gil Scott Heron with a swagger....
nor did we elect the unelectable Rep. Kucinich...

9. He's conservative when it comes to economics. He favors free trade over
fair trade. His ineptness in understanding the complexities of our economy will be shown about three to five years down the road (possibly sooner) when jobs are not created and unemployment begins to rise again. This bill gives incentives for employers to layoff employees.
