.... everyone is starting to fully understand the reality that confronts us. (It's up to each of us to decide which is worse, "caving" Dems or poorER Americans.)

It stands to reason that a much better deal can be gotten from a Congress with a Republican House, and a reduced Democratic majority in the Senate. DU reason.
The secret is patience. Why, if come March 30 or so we're a few dozen inches short of our annual snowfall of 70" here, it's just a matter of waiting till May. Patience does the trick.

10. But it's not either/or, as I understand it, Clio. They're saying that those who |
|
are making less than $20 K annually will get a tax INCREASE. How about those poorER Americans?
I'm scratching my head on that one. I've been back and forth on this and finally settled against it because I think it will harm us ALL in the long run, but I'm not up in arms about it because I really worry about those on unemployment and who are living paycheck to paycheck who can't handle a tax increase. But then I read that about the under 20K people, and I'm thinking WTF?

If all the people you admire are starting to line up on side and you remain on the other side maybe it's time to reevaluate where you line up...

9. He was just on Olbermann and his view is much more complex |
|
than the OP is suggesting and he was very clear that he feels both Clinton and Obama are wrong on this deal. There is no glory is being stuck with something awful.

20. I heard Reich on Oberman and he was most definitely against |
|
the deal. I didn't hear the Mathews comments.
At this point, I don't care if everyone on the planet is in favor to the deal. I think it stinks for reasons that I'm too lazy to list in the post. The President has sold us out. That I'm sure of.

I hope the professor didn't say one thing on Hardball at 7 and then retract it on Olbermann at 8. Go the 7.20 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_35reEogeB4

I can't believe he changed his mind from show to show.
That just shows the dilemma of a legislator. His or her votes are binary.

he's going to see from O the Appeaser...and the corporate Dems...
And Robert hasn't realized how deep the real shit pile is yet...
He did write a great book on how to temporarily rescue the current paradigm though...
Obama probably hasn't read it yet though...nor will he...Larry Summers wouldn't let him...
