What next? GOP does not attempt to repeal HCR in exchange political cover on entitlement reform?

It strikes me that the compromise the President struck on taxes and unemployment compensation is precisely where he has actually always been politically. Post-Partisan. He has succeeded in hacking off the far left and the far right, but generally pleasing the 60% in the middle. One wonders if he might work this same magic on HCR II.

2. Oh, no. Worse than that.
R's refuse to raise the debt ceiling in April. Obama agrees to massive cuts in Medicare and Social Security to "prevent the government from collapsing."

Bank on it.

sounds like the sports guys predicting exact scores of games. They are always wrong and the guy just comes back the next week for more failed predictions.

6. He's not going to "advocate" cuts in those programs.
But he's going to cut them, anyway, and then blame the R's for making him do it.
