If there is no continuing resolution is passed by midnight tonight...
Where does the money to run the government come from?

Would anyone like to hazard a guess?

As I understand it, as of midnight nobody in the Federal government gets paid, that includes Social Security or veterans. The Social Security Administration and the VA run on funds provided by the budget. Air traffic controllers, no checks. Anyone that derives funding from the government, no money.

So, I am wondering...

2. I think that having the power, Republicans will use it...
and at some point push the Obama Administration by shutting everything down.

I mean, should we put our faith in Republican restraint?

3. I don't think the real power behind the GOP wants to risk a full govt shutdown
especially in these times.

Many laughed when it was said, but I think the Obama admin (and the govt in general) is the only thing standing between the rich and the pitchforks.

5. The rich will not be hurt by a government shutdown.
The middle class and poor will.
