I Am Grateful For President Obama's Leadership
He wasn't my first choice for president but I am grateful for the hard work he has done on behalf of the American people, the world, and the greatest political party on Earth.

16. Actually
I think there are a lot more of us who actually like the guy than one may think. It's just that the Obama haters, and of course the right wing trolls, are out in full force doing their dirty work! I keep see posts that are to obvious, right wing BS, and a year or so ago they would have been blasted by almost every poster, get recs like you wouldn't believe! It's amazing how things have changed.

20. In this section...I basically know most of the Obama likers.
Let's just say there's about 15 or so of us who post regularly trying to put the facts in perspective. While...more so than not there's more hate. You're right, some of them are probably right wing trolls. But it I haven't seen much saying otherwise.

22. I used to post here a lot, but I don't much anymore
It just gets too upsetting. I still donate because I still believe in the idea of this site, and I still come around, but mostly to just read.

5. His leadership has provided a half baked hcr that will cost more and cover less
A financial bailout that only helped those who helped create the problem, and no real effort to undo the patriot act among a few of the issues I have with this administration

23. On the whole, I am terribly disappointed in President Obama's leadership
I understand that any Democrat elected president in 2008 would have an incredibly difficult job and a mixed record on bringing about the change we hoped for. President Obama has done some good things, and the repeal of DADT is a cause for celebration.

Unfortunately, this president has also bitterly disappointed me on many other issues of great importance. The success of Republicans in the 2010 mid-terms and the recent "compromise" to extend the Bush tax cuts across the board was due in no small measure to a failure of leadership by this president; to the people he selected for directing federal economic policy; and to the disdain he has shown for many of those who worked to get him elected.

I will contribute my time and money to a worthy challenger in the 2012 Democratic primary for president, if there is one.

25. The Dems Get Shellacked Because The Economy Sucked
Just as tne Repubs did in 06 and 08. That's how politics works. Please feel free to donate your money however you wish but if you are spending it to defeat the president I implore you not to because it will be wasted. Can he lose? Of course. Especially if the economy doesn't recover but it won't be to a Democrat...

26. That was one of the factors
Other factors can be laid directly at this president's feet. Rather than chastising the people who elected him he should have been standing up to the Republicans. Instead, he caved to them and brokered a "compromise" that is worse than calling those assholes on their bluff even if they weren't bluffing.

We need someome else to champion our progressive values, and I implore you to get behind a viable candidate if one steps forward. I'll vote for Obama in 2012 if he's the candidate, but I won't support him in the primary.
