Just think John McCain could have been president.
As unhappy as we've been with Obama recently, I present this sober thought. A reason that no matter how distasteful it is it is probably best to vote democratic even if you feel burned.

1. I would never vote Republican except in an exceptional circumstance (although I
can't think of one "exceptional" enough).

So I agree. Even if the Dem was a Blue Dog and the apple of the DLC's eye, I'd vote for him/her without even a pause.

2. Yes, and our next president will either be a Democrat or a Republican,
and if you do not help to elect the Democrat, then you will be helping to elect the Republican even if it is Sarah Palin. Explain it away or rationalize it as you may, that is simply the way it is.

3. The World would have been vaporized by now if McCain was elected
This DADT vote would have never happened.

Washington DC would be run over by roaches and rats who were eating off the carcases of those who were not vaporized from McCain's nuclear attack where he blew us up like he crashed planes when he was a flyboy during the Vietnam era.

6. My mother told me if I couldn't think of something good to say about someone, don't say anything.
Sad, that it's pretty much come down to this: He's not John McCain.

8. Could have been, but isn't.
Why does this silly hypothetical keep showing up here?

Breaking: John McCain isn't and will never be President of the United States. And the world is a better place because of that fact.

15. The hypothetical is not silly. Why? Because people keep saying there is NO difference.
This is why it can't be ignored. You may choose to ignore it. But when you do, make sure to reprimand and tell the idiots on this board who keep comparing Obama to the Bush's and Repubs like McCain. Until they stop, this hypothetical is nothing to take lightly and dismiss.

12. I would like to thank....
...Sarah Palin. For her insatiable need for attention, her lust for money...most of all for her mind-numbing ignorance. If not for her...we may very well have a President McC....I can't even say it.

..... seemed to be going through the motions .... of course a REAL hero would have thrown the paper down and voted aye.
