the ones in the biggest cliques would get 45 recs while the others would get 0, even though they posted the same exact thing. At first, it's actually kind of funny to watch, but it gets a little stale after a while. Whether it was intended to or not, unreccing seems to have become a unique way of stifling minority opinions.

I often cruise by the greatest page before looking at anything else. If nothing else it gives me a quick view of the mood of the DU evening. The top tens is often a first stop for me as well. The on the fence posts can be most amusing.
