5. Wasn't there an Army WAC squad during WW2 that was prodominantly lesbian?

Seems like I remember their approach to the anti-gay base commander was to tell him to his face, "Yeah, we're all women, we're all in the military, and we're all gay. Your move, sir?" And he backed off and never did anything to get rid of them - a far cry from DADT.
