I recognize names I haven't seen posting in a long time posting again. I see people who have been very ambivalent about the last two years enjoying a few victories, and, dare I say it, there is a bit of a Democratic swagger happening again.

It won't last for long, especially with the incoming congress, but, for now, it is nice to see such unified joy in sharing in some civil, social and international victories.

1. Humbug. Humbug, I say.
A poor excuse for picking a man's pocket every December 25th.

(You were right - it didn't last long!);)

2. Obama fulfilled a campaign pledge, and our men and women in uniform will reap the benefits
It's like Strom Thurmond (yes, that guy) once said: "You don't have to be straight in order to shoot straight."

4. I was thinking how productive the lame duck session was
and was wondering if it would be a good idea to have elections every six months.

Ok, the thought passed quickly...

7. Well I guess it is because of DADT being done away with.
And now that we have that it does not matter if the rich again fuck us over and kill SS and all the social programs....those are just minor points....in the "deal" we gave up our financial future and they gave up almost nothing of importance to them.

10. It's also the quietest it's been in years.
It seems dead around here. Even the most popular posts only get a few replies.

Where did everyone go?

12. We'll all be on the same team when the corporate agents take over the House.
We'll be in perpetual amazement at how much more they'll try to squeeze bloodless turnips for the sake of more corporate profit.
