|
Edited on Tue Dec-15-09 01:07 AM by mcablue
"Two more reporters have confirmed Politico’s account: TNR’s Jonathan Cohn and HuffPo’s Ryan Grim. In fact both Cohn and Grim pass on the ID of this anonymous White House figure: Rahm Emanuel." http://emptywheel.firedoglake.com/2009/12/14/rahms-making-the-white-house-look-terrible/

1. Rahm has always been more concerned with the appearance of |
|
success than actual success. He thinks a any win is a win. Obama gave him too much.

16. more accurate to say he's more concerned with carrying corporate water than even winning. |
|
If Dems did health care reform right, they would have swept the 2010 election and Obama would have a big laurel going into 2012. Instead, Rahm put short term corruption instead of long term political gain (and the public good). Hell, if they had done health care reform right, most people would probably look the other way at them going easy on Wall Street and other malefactors, but they just couldn't keep their fingers out of the honey pot.

It can't be. It just can't. He's a visionary progressive despite all his legislative record. He's everything we want him to be regardless of anything he does. It's these weasely subordinates, regardless of the responsibility of the captain to keep the crew in line.
How dare anyone make him look bad. THAT'S the true crime: that he might be tainted when he's by definition irreproachable.
Cult.
