Lest We Ever Forget:
On Inauguration Day each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

George W. Bush justified, and CONTINUES to justify his crimes by declaring "I believe the most solemn duty of the American president is to protect the American people."

No. It isn't. It never was. It is to protect the Constitution of the United States! I know, as you once so famously complained: “Stop throwing the Constitution in my face! It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!"

Sorry. But YOU took the oath. YOU failed to uphold that oath. Failed miserably. You failed to preserve, protect OR defend the Constitution. That makes you a criminal. And ignorance - even in your case - is no defense.

You have the right to remain silent.......

 :spank: :grr:

Obama is doing exactly the same thing as the bush boy, he's just putting a nicer face on it.

6. Bush and his advisors wanted to interpret the Constitution to mean
the Presidency had a lot more powers than we are used to thinking it does. But they didn't succeed. The Constitution worked. The next election happened. Bush had two terms, so bye bye Bush.

The President promises to execute the office - so far, every one of them has done that.

Bush was wrong to say he was to protect the people individually just as people are wrong who say the President "runs the country."

7. That's right, and it cannot be stated often enough. DUers need to come to terms
with the fact that the Executive Branch doesn't reign supreme. Indeed the Constitution gives the Legislative Branch (Congress) great powers. That's where hearings take place. Pelosi could have begun those hearings, regardless of Holder's decision not to. She chose not to. There's no need to target Obama for everything. There are three branches of government and all three decision not to pursue the Bush administration for its crimes for whatever reason.

8. Unless I'm grossly mistaken, they also take that oath on the HOLY BIBLE.
Why aren't the Xtians making Jihad over this?

I'm beginning to think they like being called hypocrites. Probably think it's the name of one of the twelve tribes.
