I don't understand why so many here are so willing to cave into the centrist conservative shit line that this is a good bill because it will provide some subsidies to some people maybe.
Why the hell siphon money from the public treasuries to a bunch of wealthy crooks -- who will still have very little incentive to keep rates reasonable -- rather than take that money and either put it into expand access to Medicare or into some other public plan that is based on service rather than profits?
Is this the latest version of "privatization" which has been pushed relentlessly by the Republicans and by ConservaDems?
The lack of consistency here is appalling.
ESPECIALLY SINCE I think these subsidies are likely to also get whittled away so much that they too will become meaningless.
