2. Probably get a white conservative jury; a twinkie defense like Dan White in 1979
Get this trial out of Arizona and move it to a real American state.

3. He won't get the death penalty because the VERY RW FBI won't find
evidence that warrants it. And the VERY RW Justice Department won't seek it.

Besides, he is just a lone crazy, so nothing to see here in the way of terrorism or conspiracy.

BTW, IMHO, Sarah "Crosshairs Queen" Palin is just as guilty as the shooter and deserves the death penalty like he does. But it will NEVER happen. RWers get a total pass.

4. He killed a 9-year-old child and a federal judge, among others.
If you ask me, he should get the electric chair with a dry sponge, like in The Green Mile...

7. The shooting death of a Federal Judge and a US representative
makes this a federal crime.

12. No defense of the shooter, but defense of a system that shouldn't kill.
State administered killing is always wrong. Let him rot away his long life in prison.

He deserves to receive capital punishment promptly. There is no
doubt about his crime. There are dozens of witnesses.

This asshole killed a federal judge and has probably destroyed a
young & vibrant congresswoman's career. She is only 40! She could
have been president or speaker.

I am not for death penalty in most cases but there are always
exceptions and this is one.

14. You'll pay more to kill him.
I am, without qualification, against the death penalty in all cases.

16. Federal crime to kill a judge.
This is one instance--an armed attack against the government-- that I have no trouble with the government responding with violence of its own via the death penalty.
