Rob Redding :Obama will be the next one going to the hospital
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 08:03 PM by bigdarryl
WTF!! he just made this statement on his show saying the country has been whipped up in a frenzy and he seem to think the President will be the next target. Maybe the Secrete Service should pay Redding a visit and let him explain what the fuck he is talking about.

4. Insane. And, yes, let's hope SS has time to explain to him why threatening
the president is not acceptable.

10. be fair he thinks because of the hate for the President he is in danger
he himself isn't threatening the President but I think it's irresponsible to bring this up on a radio show.

7. Rob Redding does not seem to be the sort who would threaten Barack Obama
If his comments are taken in the context in which they're intended, it's far more likely that he's expressing concern for the president's safety. I'm concerned too, for that matter.

13. President Obama is in grave danger
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 10:31 PM by Politics_Guy25
There are an untold number of insane nutcases out there who would love to re-enact 11/22/1963. This is my WORST nightmare and I pray every day fervently that nothing happens to him. Sarah Palin would love nothing more than to see him dead. I can't say how many times the mere thought has caused me to burst into tears.

I think it's time that I start even more intense prayer as a matter of fact for this great man.

14. Well, the RWers are out in force today/tonight all quoting things Obama said in
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 10:43 PM by jenmito
the past, like, "If they bring a knife to the fight, you bring a gun," and one person even quoted Michelle Obama saying, "If someone says they're not gonna vote, shake them," as if they're inciting violence like Palin and Beck. :eyes:

17. The Secret Service is a joke
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 11:19 PM by Politics_Guy25
I did some research on this last night. It is a poorly funded ill-equipped aging force that I think unable to seriously defend against a determined attacker(s). The folding into DHS really decimated it due to them not being able to win the funding battles now. They managed to let someone try to shoot Ford twice, let Reagan get shot, had a gunman open fire outside of the White House in 1993, let a plane crash into the W.H in 1994, let 9/11 happen and let some nut throw a grenade at George W. Bush in 2005. Also, they didn't even bother to check any of the 40,000 spectators at the Baltimore Orioles game that Vice President Biden threw the first pitch out at. There are stories about people being checked at one Obama inaugural event and then allowed to go outside the perimeter and back into it without getting checked again.

The Giffords assasination attempt shook me to the core last night-so I went to google to see just what kind of protection the secret service can really provide and I was appalled.

I have zero confidence in them like at all. His protection is in god's hands.
