5. Walters' statement made little sense.
I’m feeling bad for Sarah Palin because I don’t think that’s what she should have said, and certainly crosshairs are very scary,” Walters said.

7. That has got to be the dumbest statement I've read in quite some time.
I expect stupidity from Palin and her ilk, and I'm no great fan of Walters, but to actually say she feels bad for Palin... what a low to stoop to.

"the little people" vs. a high-falootin' celebrity-type, I've yet to see it.

16. Sarah Palin messes up again and again and always manages to convince
people to feel sorry for her. That is her thing.

Like Will Pitt says - she's a frickin' Lady MacBeth. Nothing will wash the blood off your little hand, girlie-poo.

18. Barbara Walters climbed the ladder of success...
...by fawning over the rich and powerful. Her M.O. has never changed over the years, so this latest statement does not surprise me.

She cares only about the powerful and their all-important public images. That's it. If 19 people are shot and 6 of them die, that's collateral damage. The real tragedy is the tarnishing of Sister Sarah's public image, and Baba Wawa must do what she can to minimize it.

19. I remember when she interviewed Patrick Swayze after his dad died
She had agreed not to bring up his dad in the interview, since he had recently died and Patrick was still upset about his passing.

Guess what she did.

And then there was that Mark David Chapman interview...

she didn't want to be there to hear Barbara's ramblings.

24. Hehehe.. I have a different take on this
If the famous and legendary BabaWaWa "feels sorry" for Caribou Barbie, imagine what a message that sends to Palin.

Palin can't laugh this off any more - too many people consider her actions to be extreme. And people are starting to question needless violent rhetoric and gun worshippers.

Pair this with Pawlenty's comments today and Palin is out of the race for 2012.

Perception is everything. And people have perceived that Palin went too far.

27. Palin is one of the most obnoxious political personalities out there
she is always on the attack and when it turns on her she can't stomach it. I don't feel a bit sorry for her.

28. I wonder how barbara would feel about a politician -
say Biden or some other Democrat - saying that media people like walters need to understand how painful it is to be the target of a hate campaign and suggest that if you can't get them off the air with letters, maybe we should try bullets. You have to wonder if these ass holes know they are hypocrites or whether they are so self deluded that they spout this crap without wincing at their own lying.
