I think the people(misogynist people) who own the republican party chose her and created her. They still provide her with staff support as in the form of the person who wrote this speech for her along with creating that map and talking points for her. As far as the gun references go, I think she really believes the violent rhetoric and believes that she has the right to use it for her own purposes. After all, it is the rhetoric the republicans (and their media sycophants)have used successfully for many years.

I am not happy defending McCain but I really think we need to come to grips with the corporatists like the Koch brothers and others who own and run the republican party and the media machine which created Palin in the first place and continue to support her.
