Thanks to Chris Matthews tonight
I did think he did a good appraisal of the situation. I think he covered some very important points.

3. Tweety did well tonight. He gets on my nerves most of the times
but he does have his moments.

4. He talked about Tip O'Neill and Reagan.
He used to work for Tip O'Neill. He said he had never told this story before.

It was told to him by a congressional staffer who was in Reagan's hospital room.

After Reagan was shot in 1981, and Tip O'Neill went to see him, and Tip knelt by the bed and held Reagan's hand and they recited the 23rd Psalm together.

Tweety's point was that though they were opposites politically, Tip and Reagan still respected each other and did not demonize, like people on the right do now.
