Show some class Sarah.
Edited on Thu Jan-13-11 10:03 AM by TheBigotBasher
We have been led to believe that violent language has no consequence. That was the narrative the Palin team was offering ever since Saturday. Her video was an attempt to steal the media attention from the real victims of the tragedy, these people :-

not these people

Her side spent the week saying violent rhetoric was voiced on all sides. Supposedly, an individual blogger on Daily Kos was as powerful as Rush Limbaugh. We were expected to believe it, without question. All the "lame stream media" published the accusations without question. All sides were as bad as each other. That was the clear message.

Fine. So people said they were happy to accept the (false) equivalence argument. They were happy to accept all sides are as bad as each other, they simply asked can you tone it down? Err no, the Palin fans argued, that was out of the question. They were all too keen to point out violent language has no consequence. The USA was born of violence.

Until today that is.

Now after a night to celebrate those who survived a massacre by a crazed mad man, Palin supporters yet again want to steal the headlines from those very real victims of Jared Loughner. Her side want to claim the death threats against her have increased. All of a sudden violent rhetoric does have a consequence. Sarah Palin is now the biggest victim of this atrocity. Not those who were wounded. Not Congresswoman Giffords. Not those murdered. No, all of a sudden Sarah Palin is the biggest victim.

Can we tone it down now?
