I Have a Dream
“Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: / we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

Martin Luther King Jr., I Have a Dream, 1963.

1. Photo: Martin Luther King, Jr. by Michael Jackson

Two great men lost, both highly talented in different ways.

3. very true
Admittedly, I am a fan of the late Michael Jackson. I never realized how diverse his artistic talents were until he passed away.

As for Dr. King, a tremendous loss as well and yes, I do remember the day he was assassinated. :( He shares the same birthday as my late brother in fact. I can remember when Jan. 15th was just another day but now it is a holiday. :)

May they both RIP.

4. Thanks, TC
I started a thread on this in AAIG on the 15th not realizing that the public holiday was the 17th.
