Waugh to protest Cantor's agenda
Seventh District congressional candidate Rick Waugh, a Louisa County Democrat, is hosting a demonstration today in Richmond in protest of the GOP agenda laid out by Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

The event is at 4 p.m. on North Lombardy Street.

“Rick Waugh for Congress has partnered with the NAACP, MoveOn, and Progressive Democrats of America to provide a demonstration and awareness” to Cantor, Waugh said in a release. “We are united to show the Majority Leader that he needs to listen to the majority and keep his hands of our Social Security and Medicare.”

Waugh is a social worker who first ran for elected office in November against Cantor. He earned 34 percent of the vote and plans to run against Cantor again in 2012.
