From the earliest days of our founding, America has been the story of ordinary people who dare to dream. That’s how we win the future.... This is our generation’s Sputnik moment.

MIAMI - JANUARY 25: Ramon Diaz Castellon sits in the back of the pickup he is living in as he watches U.S. President Barack Obama deliver his State of the Union speech to a joint session of the U.S. Congress on Capitol Hill on January 25, 2011 in Miami, Florida. Mr. Castellon said he is unemployed after losing his job working at a restaurant that went out of business. President Obama mentioned during his speech that as a country we will move forward together, or not at all.

The full moon sets behind a wind farm in the Mojave Desert in California ... U.S. President Barack Obama called for investment in clean technologies and urged Congress to eliminate billions of dollars in subsidies for oil companies in his State of the Union address on Tuesday. Obama sought a centrist message on an issue that has sharply divided Washington, saying nuclear power and two fossil fuels, clean coal and natural gas, would be needed to meet a goal of 80 percent clean energy in less than 25 years."Some folks want wind and solar. Others want nuclear, clean coal, and natural gas," Obama said.

2. Wonderful pics.
I love the one of Clinton with Sotomayor and Kagan....3 ladies who have made some history in this administration. It was an eventful speech, full of promise and hard truths.

Thanks Clio!
