William Daley: about those Bush tax cuts...
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1108/Obama_not_likely_to_push_repeal_of_Bush_tax_cuts.html

November 23, 2008

Obama adviser Bill Daley says Obama will "more likely than not" postpone a tax increase for the rich until 2011, when the Bush tax cuts expire, rather than pushing to repeal them now.

He made the comment on "Meet the Press," and it's a suggestion that Obama will tailor his initiatives to avoid burdening the struggling economy — even at the cost of a widening deficit.

1. In other words...we were warned...and we were played...
All along, he was with the suites, not the the streets.

3. They're not the Bush tax cuts anymore.
Bush did not sign the two-year extension.

4. Love some one to explain how Obama would be able to REPEAL those tax breaks
in the first place.

He would have been unable to REPEAL them when he had a majority in the house AND 60 Dems in the Senate. We already KNOW THAT.

What kind of fool thinks the GOP majority in the House would EVER vote to repeal those tax breaks?????????? I guess the same kind of fool who thinks that the GOP in the Senate would no longer FILIBUSTER enough such effort.

The best that can happen is that they expire AFTER Obama wins reelection in 2012. If he doesn't win reelection, the GOP will have majorities across the board again, and they will vote to extend or make them permanent.
