Glenn Beck, delivering the keynote for the 'secret' conclave of billionaires at Rancho Mirage who are, at the behest of the Koch brothers, deciding the future of the United States, is saying, "And my message is simple: We need massive upheaval . . . without violence. . . . Horrifying that people with some control over our financial future are actually listening to his ravings. 3. I don't believe they believe him at all.

More likely, they bring him along for entertainment, then laugh at him behind his back. He appeals to people they couldn't otherwise reach, the gullible and the deliberately stupid, and they in their turn do the bidding of these lords of the manor. The Kochs, unlike Beck, are genuinely intelligent. They have chosen to divorce their intelligence from any moral or ethical obstructions, and in that they appeal to Beck and his slavish followers. The Kochs use Beck as bait for those listeners, and they respect him about as much as a piece of meat stuck on a hook and dragged along the bottom of a river fed by a leaking sewage plant.
