5. Kill this bill and that's what you get. Enjoy it.
This bill passes and you know what? IT'S NOT THE LAW. It has to be reconciled with the House bill. So why not see what comes out of THAT process before you jump on some hysterical band-wagon.

6. Perhaps someday we will get a Bill That's actually better than the POS being foisted upon us.
Until then there is no reason to pass what is left.

It's a step backward.

11. A step backward? That is SO much horseshit. And selfish.
I guess if it's not what YOU want NO ONE should have it.

The one that's left has no value to anyone but the Insurance companies.

Even "Pre-existing conditions" has no price stops for the elderley. The Insurance Whores can raise prices up over 3x for those poor souls.

That's not progress.

You personal attacks are tiresome and don't contribute to the conversation.

12. Really? Why kill it?
If it passes, it's not law. What possible harm can come from passing the Senate Bill? Answer: None. If the reconciled bill doesn't meet your lofty standards, kill THAT.

23. You didn't need to say it. That' s what would happen.
If we're really lucky, we might only have to wait 25 years.

Or do you just like to argue?

22. You have GOT to be kidding...
"This comes from the same group who uses the “44,000 people die in the US because they don’t have access to health care argument”? How does that work exactly? We die till we don’t? It’s important, those uninsured dying people till the ideal is more important?

Moreover, I’m trying very hard here to figure out how, with 2010 midterm elections looming large, waiting means somehow snatching a bigger success from a failure. Can anyone familiar with history point to any time where a bill has made it this far, been pulled back by proponents, and lived as a stronger version of itself? I can’t. I couldn’t find one single time where that was the case.

No, we can’t afford to wait. There are too many people hanging by a thread right now."

...from http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=433&topic_id=62152&mesg_id=62152

If you're willing to sacrifice 44,000 people a year to get a perfect bill, fine. Stand on your principles. But your principles, quite frankly, SUCK if that's the case.

7. Passing a bill will covers many of the 50+ million Americans without health care...
Killing it...consigns them to death without health care.

Actions have consequences.

That quite the political philosophy you got there.

Note: When you bring out the 'hoodlum'speak, you relegate yourself to the hysterical and not-to-be-taken-seriously.

Insurance is not CARE, which remains up to the whimes of useless sociopathic intermediaries.
