There's nothing wrong with growing up in Kenya

We need to watch our reactions regarding Huckabee's claim that Obama grew up in Kenya. Obviously Huckabee full of shit, but lets not act like there's something wrong with actually growing up in Kenya.

IMO, growing up in Kenya would actually be a good thing because it would if you a real taste of foreign culture rather than an insular American outlook.

Sometimes I get the sense that the people lashing out against misinformation about Obama actually think there's something wrong with being a Muslim or growing up in Kenya. There isn't.

Xenophobia is a dangerous thing and we need to be careful.

The reason why Kenya is bad, to a right-winger, is that Kenya is full of blacks and muslims, and black muslims. Blacks, muslims, and black muslims are in and of themselves, BAD. Them believing that Obama was born in Kenya, is just another example of Republican bigotry at work.

Would a Republican complain if a right-wing politician was born a white guy in christian Austria? Well, they haven't complained about Schwarzenegger this way, have they?
