WI POLL: Stick a fork in Walker. 65% say "compromise", 33% say "stay strong"
Poll: Majority want Walker to negotiate

A strong majority of Wisconsin residents want Republican Gov. Scott Walker to negotiate with Democrats and public sector unions to find a compromise in the current budget standoff, according to a new poll by the conservative-leaning Wisconsin Policy Research Institute.

Sixty-five percent of survey respondents said Walker "should compromise," while 33 percent said he should "stand strong."

While the percentage of people with a somewhat or strongly favorable opinion of Walker has dropped only slightly since last November, from 45 percent to 43 percent, opposition to him has solidified and increased. Fifty-three percent now have a somewhat or strongly unfavorable opinion of him, up from 35 percent in November.

The poll of 603 Wisconsin residents was conducted between Feb. 27 and March 1, the day Walker gave his biennial budget address. UW-Madison political science professor Ken Goldstein, hired to conduct the poll, said about an equal number of respondents were interviewed each evening, including March 1, and that he did not see a difference in responses night to night.

5. I want the guy to be "recalled" and sent off with his bags
Packing.

If the California Republicans could get Governor Davis recalled, so that Ahnold could take his place (And Gov. Davis had not done anything weird, wrong, crazy, infuriating, and/or etc,) it should be totally possible to get rid of this disgusting piece of poop.

7. Need to make up for the kind of money Issa poured in to that recall to buy governorship for himself!
Was good to see him cry when he pulled out when Arnold took the lead in the polls, even if it meant having to put up with Arnold for governor for too long...

Many states will have to make up for that huge amount of money spent by the richest member of congress (the car thief and arsonist Issa) with bodies out volunteering efforts to get signatures, etc. instead.

8. What's with the "stay strong" crap?
Shouldn't it be "Compromise" vs "Don't Compromise? To me, saying "stay strong" or "stand strong" implies that he's doing the right thing.

11. At a time when 71% of the public wanted a public option, Boehner was able to stand up
in front of the nation and claim that he personally didn't know anyone who wanted a public option. Through relentless media hype, propaganda, messaging, and lies he was able to substantially change public opinion and do what he wanted anyway.

These guys aren't afraid of polls. They have the doctrine of the RW on their side and they will do anything they have to to implement it.
