Why Can't We Use Our OWN DOMESTIC NATURAL GAS and UNIONIZE GAS WORKERS?
Natural gas is clean enough to burn to cook in your kitchen so it is clean enough to burn out your exhaust pipe.

Cost to fill up would be like 60 cents per gallon commpared to $5.00 per gallon foreign firty gasoline - RELIEF FOR THE POOR AND ECONOMY - who does not want to fill up for pocket change?

Natural Gas conversion of our economy would be a "NEW DEAL" creating millions of domestic jobs to convert existing cars, exisiting gas stations, build new cars, get the gas out of the gorund, etc etc etc -

CREATING MILLIONS OF NEW JOBS FOR AMERICANS WORKING IN AMERICA IN THE NEW "NATURAL GAS WORKERS UNION" - GUARANTEEING OBAMA'S RE-ELECTION AND GRATEFUL WORKERS FOR A PERMANENT DEMOCRAT MAJORITY

Natural Gas is over 90% cleaner buring than GASOLINE - IT IS CLEANER THAN AN ELECTRIC CAR THAT JUST BURNS COAL AT A POWER PLANT BY HUGE ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE!

Natural Gas is DOMESTIC, THE USA HAS ENOUGH NATURAL GAS TO POWER EVERY HOME, EVERY CAR, EVERY POWER PLANT FOR 100 YEARS AT CURRENT POWER CONSUMPTION RATES

NATURAL GAS WOULD GET US OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST FOREVER - NO MORE BLOOD FOR OIL!!! NO MORE WAR FOR ISRAEL!!! NO MORE SUPPORTING OPPRESSIVE DICTATORS, LET THE PEOPLE BE FREE!!

GET US OUT!!

WHY IS OBAMA NOT SUPPORTING THIS AS A BRIDGE FUEL? NOT EVERYONE WHO IS environmentally conscious can afford to buy a $40,000.00 electric car. A $5,000 car can be convetred to run on NATURAL gas.

Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, India, Cuba - HAVE ALL EMBRACED NATURAL GAS FOR CARS - WHY CAN'T WE?? AND HAVE CHEAP CLEAN DOMESTIC ENERGY NOW IN MILLIONS OF AUTOS ALREADY ON THE ROAD

WHY CAN'T THE PRESIDENT LEAD ON SOMETHING TO GET HIM RE-ELECTED?

1. Note: Bolding has no point if 95% of everything is bolded.
Call it a quick tip.

2. Elevens!1!!11! OMG.
What is cheaper, converting all that over to NG or buying 5.00 gas?

As for burning coal, why not build new power plants that burn gas instead of coal?

The other problem is the HUGE enviromental destruction drilling for gas causes.

Gas may sound all warm and fuzzy but its far from "clean".

3. Well, I appreciate your enthusiasm. We do need to break our dependence on foreign oil,
and we do need jobs.

Not everything about Natural Gas is clean. Have you spent any time in Pennsylvania or West Virginia lately?

The Pennsylvania Forum of DU has some very informative posts about what Marcellus Shale drilling is doing to the environment in our state.

4. Natural Gas jobs pay really good mostly

Would be hard to unionize.

The way the coal mines keep unions out is to pay nearly what the union pays. Just not as safe to work there since the union has it's own safety inspectors.

Natural gas is great. I have a well on my place and get 200,000 cu ft a year free.

However gas drilling can screw up your well and land if you aren't vigilant, and the Marcellius type drilling, the technology exsists to get that gas but the technology to get it without bad environmental damage does not at this point.

5. Is that you David Koch?
The Koch brothers own or are building a gas pipeline clear across WI. In fact they are involved or own the Canada to Mexico proposed pipeline. If/when we go gas they will be Trillionairs...so would T.J. Pickens and many other fat cat Republicans. Fracking releases the gas from underground shale and Fracking contaminates the ground water for whole towns. It's extremely harsh on the environment and wildlife. Water and Solar still seem the cleanest/safest method of producing energy so far. Anyway that's my thought...but I'm no expert.

6. Everyone is welcome to convert their cars to natural gas
As a mechanic who remembers NG fueled vehicles back in the 80's, and knowing some of the more current costs and headaches involved, I can just say I'm not tempted at all. It costs more than it saves (though I won't even argue that - if you think it saves money, go ahead and do it!), and its still a fossil fuel.

A good bicycle is a better solution.

7. Watch this:
http://www.gaslandthemovie.com/

Natural Gas production has nasty side effects.

"Your tap water catching on fire" levels of side effects (really).
