In a way, I'm glad these Republicans are doing all this crazy stuff. I think the country needs a reminder of what unbridled Republican rule really means, especially this bunch which is more far right than George Bush on his most right wing day. After experiencing being screwed over on a personal level by these small government assholes, suddenly the whole "big government healthcare death panels" nonsense doesn't seem like something people should be putting stock in and worrying about. I think in that sense, you are going to see some major backlash against Republicans in 2012. In order to get middle class white America to stop voting against its own interests, it has to actually be able to tangibly see how its own interests are being destroyed by this kind of wild, right wing ideology.
