I've Tried A Number Of Times This A.M. To Call The White House Comment Line.......

and it is continually busy. I can't think that all those callers are calling to support what is going on with this HCR bill.

I don't know if it will help - but I will keep calling until I get through and voice my opinion. I know a lot of us are disappointed - to say the least - with what is going on.

I holding on to the fact that 'public opinion' might still be able to stop this boat from sinking.

The number is: 1-202-456-1111. I urge all of you to call and give the WH an earful as to what we 'voters' are feeling out here beyond the beltway.

And while you're at it - look up your Senators numbers and call them and tell them what you think.

5. I Finally Got Through To The W.H. After Numerous Calls.....

I was on hold for about 3 minutes and finally an person picked up. I expressed my disappointment over what is transpiring on the HCR and the person listening seemed just as disappointed and was agreeing with everything I said. I don't know if they are supposed to do that - but I'm thinking that the calls are running very negative these days and that they are growing weary by the negativity.

I got to think that this message is getting all the way to the top.

I wouldn't like to be sitting in the Oval Office right now hearing all of this and realizing that I am disappointing all those that voted for me.

Keep trying - you will get through. Voice your opinion.

9. Just Called Both Of My Senators - Durbin and Burris........

got through - but it was a recorded message that they are experiencing high call volume - please call back later.

People - please call. Again - I can't believe that this high call volume is in support of what they are doing. (Take that back - maybe support for Burris - or maybe insurance company execs are calling and thanking them).

Whatever - if the voters call and there seems to be consensus - we might still be able to stop this boat from sinking.

10. Just Got Through To Durbin's Office.......

the aide that picked up sounded harried. She indicated that they are getting tons of calls that are negative to what has been going on in the Senate. She sounded rushed and wanted me off the phone as fast as possible but I held out and spoke my mind. I got to think that all the Dem Senators are being barraged with calls of disappointment.

Please call the WH and your Senators. It ain't over till its over. The fat lady hasn't sung yet.
