Are we just little 'wind-up toys?'
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110315/ap_on_re_us/us_obama_campaign_enthusiasm

I'm insulted. We're being viewed as some sort of 'marketing target.' Does this admin really think we can be manipulated so easily?

If this admin wants us to be 'animated,' how about he ACT like a UNRECONSTITUTED DEMOCRAT? You know, provide Justice to those who work for a living. That would be a good start, wouldn't it?

1. For me, the wind-up spring broke, by them winding it to the right too much.

2. The bias in the article is telling.
Not being one to withhold criticism, this article stinks. I don't quite believe that the President said "hardcore liberals" need to swallow their anger. So I googled, trying to find anything that isn't this article. I think I made it to page 8. It is also interesting to note that this was first published in February? So why today is it spamming the internet?

But by all means, lets find a surrogate punching bag, as Bush is no longer relevant.

5. And I have always asked the
question. if we had both houses and the Presidency, why is it that the bills did not end up on his desk for signing with every liberal thing it was in it. Because we have some Democratic Reps and Senators who voted their best interest and that of their lobbyist of choice interest. The only way the President can sign anything into law is if it reaches his desk. They blame obama for a lot. But you can not blame him for what our own party would not do. Back the people.

6. This is not going to be good for President Obama:
"One answer, the president said, is to persuade hardcore liberals to swallow their anger over political compromises the administration reached with Republicans, even when Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress.
Obama's concessions include dropping his proposed public option for health insurance, and extending Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest.
"There's no weakness in us trying to reach out and seeing if we can find common ground," the president said.

It is not just the hard core liberals who have lost their homes, jobs, pensions and watched the bankers roll in "our" tax dollars ... It is bigger than the hard core liberals and or professional left...

8. Yes, it's more extensive. The blowback from Independents
(now reportedly the largest self-identified voting bloc) on economic issues and their defections in the mid-terms was ready testimony to that.

It's a bit ironic, too, to see this fresh bid for the attention of "hardcore liberals", when juxtaposed against the constant DLC mantra of what a trivial "fringe" constituency they represent in deemed numbers. I think somebody can't count. And it seems clear beyond question there's been a serious hearing problem, too.
