3. I'm wondering if they can comprehend the facts? Do they watch or read the news?

That's redundant

5. They have had the 'rich people give me a job' meme pounded into their heads since birth.
Unions bad, rich people are better than me, my pastor knows better than me, I don't want to make any decisions on my own, some rich guy will tell me what to do, my boss is smarter than me because he has money...

Stupid people unwilling to take control of their own destiny.

7. all those pro R numbers hover around 33%
about the percent of people in the country that are traditional R voters.

all they got now is their traditional base, everyone else is on to their shit.

13. My first thought too - then it became clear
Obviously these 39% feel that workers have more rights protected by Obama than they think they should have.

14. Really odd.
If anything, you'd think the R's would do best on the question of who best to manage the federal budget deficit, since they spent the last two years screaming about debt. Maybe more Americans are starting to realize that rampant tax-cutting isn't the best way to control the deficit, but I'm probably giving them too much credit.

The fact that the 'pugs do best on the "protect the right of working people" question in contrast to the other two is downright weird, and, I believe, shows how little the average American knows about what the two major parties stand for. It's almost as messed up as the exit poll from the '10 elections where a plurality of the people who claimed Wall Street was the entity most responsible for the financial crisis voted Repug.
