Wrong on Missouri benefits, state senator threatens to cut off extended UI benefits
Attacks on jobless workers, and on unemployment insurance, have been increasing around the country. Recently, Missouri State Senator Jim Lembke said that those jobless workers who receive unemployment benefits should "get off their backsides" and "quit stealing from their neighbors."

The Senator made those remarks as he led a filibuster in the State Senate, blocking a bill that would continue the current federally-funded extended benefits for eligible long-term unemployed job-seekers in the state.

This morning, his office confirmed that Sen. Lembke intends to block the bill to continue extended benefits again today.

It's become clear that Sen. Lembke doesn't even have the basic facts straight on Missouri's unemployment benefits.

1. All I can say is
I hope someone is keeping track of all this crap being said, and done by republicans, so they can use it in TV ads when these idiots run again!

2. Well,
Maybe when Senator Lambke gets off of his ass and stops corporate greed from being allowed to steal jobs from his neighbors who wish desperately to get a good paying job, there will no longer be a need to extend UI benefits. :eyes:
