9. When you do...let me know...I'm more dedicated to the site I'm creating on this. |
|
It's to list all the progressive Dems or Independents running for legislative or executive seats for each state. My end goal---is to turn the entire Congress Progressive. I don't care if they're red, blue, or purple. The entire Congress must be progressive. That's why people like Snowe or Collins---won't have candidates promoted on my site to vote against them. I see them as progressive thinkers and not to mention they're strong, super strong in their districts.

7. a progressive contender? check out the district's history |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-16-11 05:20 PM by onenote
Since this district was first created in 1983, it has always been represented by a republican. Heller, who is vacating the seat to run for Senate, won reelection in 2010 by a margin of over 30 percentage points over his Democratic opponent. The district went for Bush in 2000 and 2008 by 20 points and 16 points respectively. Obama managed to match McCain (49-49) but that appears to have been something of an anomaly given that Heller actually did better against his Democratic opponent in 2008 (winning by 10 points) than in 2004 (when his margin of victory was five points). I would hope the Democrats could mount a credible challenge to a polarizing candidate like Angell, but that candidate probably won't be progressive as that term is often understood here at DU.

I believe it was on Rachel...it was stated that she has the best chance. If not Rachel it was Lawrence's show hosted by Nate.

14. She might actually win... |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-17-11 05:58 AM by rasputin1952
there are a few reasons why she could take the seat, the most obvious being that it is an R district; but there is something else that fills out the equation...she is so incredibly stupid, she will make the GOP voters of that district actually feel as if they are smart...:evilfrown:
