The first negotiation demand should have been give up pre-existing conditions and the.... |
|
ability to drop anyone or else your Anti-trust exemption is history.
Then...no Public Plan = No Mandate.
Instead they gave away everything before they even got to the bargaining table.

4. BUT>>>it does not preclude them from charging HUGE premiums for that coverage. |
|
So, effectively it does not do as advertised.

20. No, the bill mandates mostly community rating. |
|
They can adjust rates based on your location, the size of your family, your age (unfortunately), but they cannot adjust premiums or refuse to enroll you based on medical conditions.
This alone is a very good thing. It's still in the bill.

12. They can drop coverage after a certain amount is spent each year. |
|
From what I've been able to gather, the annual cap still remains in the bill. That means people with devastating illnesses can be forced to wait on treatment until the next year. Not good, as that's life or death in many situations.

17. I heard the White House asked for this to be addressed, but according to |
|
everything I've seen so far, it's still in there. Premiums would be too high otherwise, since there's no competition and no cost control either.
A real piece of crap bill. :(

3. In this bill they can STILL charge you a LOT more if you have .. |
|
a pre-existing condition. A LOT more. A lot more if you are older, a LOT more if you have the audacity to USE the coverage, true, they can not deny you the privilege of buying a policy, but it does not have to be affordable. And remember there is still a CAP on annual claims. All this shit pile does is strengthen the Industry's hold on our lives, using tax payer dollars to do it. But, it fills ALL of President Obama's "criteria" . That say's alot .....about Obama's "criteria". KILL THIS BILL.

repeating propaganda. Reinforcing propaganda without debate is not likely to work here. Moreover, your talking points are highly offensive.

These are politicians at the national level, they KNOW how to negotiate.
In fact, they know how to do it so well that they can game the opening round to make sure the last round gets exactly what they want.....more corporate profits.
Anyone who buys the idea that the Democrats are naive on this is a mark. The kabuki theatre was for your benefit, and it apparently worked.
Single payer advocates knew this was to be outcome the second we were not invited to the table. The Democrats knew that by asking for single payer that the public option would go through....so they scrapped single payer and started with the public option.
...and now you have Leibercare, AS INTENDED.
Doubt me? Just look at who got all of the health insurance money in the last election cycle.
